Embroidery Machine Operator - FT Nights

Status: Full-Time - Night Shift
Hours: Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 2:00 am (overtime required when scheduled)
Job Summary: Set-up, monitor and embroider garments as prescribed by theorder. Operate and maintain the embroidery machine.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Familiar with different types of garments and backing used for each
Understands the proper size of hoop to use for each type of garment
Understands the different placements for each garment
Capable of operating any of the embroidery machines in the department
Familiar with EdgeWare computer system
Completes paperwork with all orders
Performs daily maintenance and cleaning of the machine
Completes daily production documentation
Utilizes personal protective equipment as required for personal safety
Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment
Performs job consistently within established performance standards
Is punctual, observes prescribed work break/meal periods and has an acceptable overall attendance record
Other duties as assigned by the dept. manager or dictated by the needs of the business
Essential Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, interpret orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standard situations

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Regularly exposed to humid conditions, fumes, chemicals, and heat.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
