Strategic Account Manager - Swine

Overview
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction among assigned accounts. Works under the guidance of Sales Manager to coordinate, execute and achieve business objectives and strategies within budget.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Develops and maintains strong relationships with assigned accounts and customers
Identify and implement "Value-Add" Programs based on needs of account
Develop and implement clear strategies for all assigned accounts
Work in conjunction with Sales Manager, Region President or sales team and provide feedback when applicable
Identifies new business opportunities within accounts and region
Schedules and travels to meet with customer in the field as required
Advises management of any breakdown in communications, loss of sales contact or service, and insures that corrective action is taken
Build relationships with key personnel as required within customers organization
Sets individual goals, objectives
Budgets time and prioritize activities accordingly
Maintains knowledge of company products, policies, procedures, programs, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Promote company products, services and upsell to customers
Accountable for annual market share and revenue growth as determined by business plan
Achieve budgeted sales and gross profit quotas within account assignment within approved level of expenses
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Identify customer inventory management needs and implement Animal Health Technology offerings where appropriate

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
Excellent verbal, written, organization and interpersonal communication skills
An in-depth knowledge of the animal health swine business
An excellent understanding of various sales and marketing techniques
A sound understanding of good business principles and practices
Solid computer knowledge, including MS Office
Self-motivated and self-directed
Demonstrated history of exceptional performance
Must we willing to travel and stay overnight as needed
EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in business or agriculture related subject preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of Outside Sales experience within pork industry preferred
Previous experience in animal health or ag product experience preferred



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
